THERE ARE MANY ROOFING MATERIALS ON THE MARKET, EACH WITH ITS OWN PROS AND CONS
Asphalt Roofs
Asphalt is the most common roofing material in the country, often due to the fact that it is less expensive than some of the other roofing materials available. Even with an expected lifespan of approximately 15 to 20 years, and sometimes a Lifetime Warranty; it does not mean that your roof has not been damage due to storm related weather and wind.
Metal Roofs
With warranties of 20 to 40 years and longer, metal roofs are considered to be relatively low-maintenance. It is important to have an experienced installer to get the most from your metal roof, and a consideration for purchasing can be how long you intend to remain in your home, the compatibility with the style of your home, and the value this material can add to your home.
Tile and Slate Roofing
Extremely durable, Tile and Slate are also very popular to complement the Mediterranean-style homes. These are the roofing styles offering the longest lifespans, often 50 or more years for Tile and approximately 100 years for Slate. If you already have a tile or slate roof, matching the quality and style of the original materials must be taken into consideration.
All of these roofs are subject to storm damage!!
